Windsor school board members have chosen their officers for the coming term.

The officers include Board President Michelle Schultz, Vice President Karen Pfeiffer, and Board Secretary Brett Barnard.

The Board heard a presentation from second grade teacher Denise Sentel, who reported on her program where sixth grade students get the opportunity to help in other classes every Friday. The students earn the opportunity based on working hard and being good in class, and work with younger students by helping teachers in those other classes. Windsor Superintendent Erik Van Hoveln said the students are really enjoying the opporunity.

There was also discussion of how to utilize Federal COVID relief funds. Van Hoveln asked Board members to take a month or two to think over they want to use the money.

In personnel moves, the Windsor board accepted resignations from Vanessa Fritcher as elementary school morning duty and from Jack Johnson as a bus driver. Those hired were Madison Boone as a fourth grade teacher, Peighton Donnel as a kindergarten teacher, Macy Younger as a third grade teacher, Bailey Leasher as a family and consumer science teacher, and Nick Brandenburg as a high school math teacher, and accepted the retirement of custodian Rick Clayton.
