The Altamont City Council took no action at this week's meeting on a request for a hoop building to be located in the downtown area.

Mark Workman would like to place the structure next to his establishent, The Whistlestop, at 118 North 2nd Street.

There were only three Council members present. A motion to table the request died for lack of a second, then a motion to approve the request died for lack of a second.

Workman requested a delay in action on the request until the full Council is present, so the issue will be revisited in May.

The Council did approve an agreement with Milano and Grunloh for completion of a subdivision boundary survey. The land to be surveyed is the parcel recently acquired in Town and Country Subdivision to be developed with residential lots. The survey work will cost $4,000.
