The Teutopolis Village Board has reorganized in the wake of the election earlier this month.

Dave Repking was sworn in as the new Village President, succeeding Greg Hess who did not seek re-election. Angie Kroeger was sworn in to her first term as village trustee, and Dave Tegeler and Greg Oseland were sworn in to new terms after winning re-election.

Additionally, Rita Swingler was sworn in as Village Treasurer and Amy Vahling was sworn in as Village Clerk, succeeding Sharon Will, who is retiring at month's end after more than 30 years' service.

The Board tabled action on possible changes to the village's golf cart ordinance, although there was discussion of a proposal by Angie Hartke on holding a golf cart drive-in movie night. Also tabled was a resolution to appropriate $110,000 in motor fuel tax funds for street maintenance.

The Board accepted a services agreement on Tax Increment Financing work with South Central Illinois Regional Planning and Development Commission on an hourly basis. Board members accepted a bid from Hillside Lawn and Landscape for $4,125 for landscaping around the new Village Hall, and hired four people as summer maintenance workers.

The Board voted to release the Village's claim on two residential lots, and approved liquor license applications for the new fiscal year. Board members also heard from Paul Romack of SRMD Solutions, who said he was considering his business to Teutopolis.
