Counties, Townships and Municipalities Receive Rebuild Illinois Funds

Governor Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Transportation have announced that a third $250 million installment is being made to counties, municipalities and townships to address their transportation needs as part of the Rebuild Illinois capital program.

Locally, $307,830.65 was allotted to Effingham County. The allocations to municipalities in the county include:

Effingham--$135,410.62

Altamont--$25,471.87.87

Beecher City--$5,085.59

Dieterich--$6,777.12

Edgewood--$4,832.96

Mason--$3,789.48

Montrose--$2,207.78

Shumway--$2,218.77

Teutopolis--$16,805.50

Watson--$8,281.93

Effingham County townships were allocated a total of $401,515.43. 

As far as area counties, Clay County received $101,849.74, townships in the county received a total of $386,270.27, and municipalities received a total of $85,620.19.

Cumberland County received $71,868.31, townships in the county received a total of $336,322.11, and municipalities in the county received a total of $50,636.20.

Fayette County received $146,318.10, townships in the county received a total of $614,782.58, and municipalities in the county received a total of $123,284.30.

Jasper County received $78,174.46, townships in the county received a total of 4428,923.14, and municipalities in the county received a total of $41,102.09.

Shelby County received $158,057.19, townships in the county received a total of $684,118.64, and municipalities in the county received a total of $129,951.58. 

A total of $1.5 billion spread out in six installments is being invested over three years.
