Dieterich village board members this week voted to move ahead with construction of streets and storm sewers in Industrial Park East.

Feutz Contractors of Paris was awarded the work for $1,596,301.85. The three new roadways to be constructed will be known as Corporate, Commerce and Prospect Streets.

21 lots will be available for development in the new industrial park.

The Dieterich board approved payment for French drain work done at Virginia and Park Streets for just over $5,300 at the Dieterich Veterans Memorial. The Board also purchased a new steel door from Niebrugge Lumber for the interior hallway of the Village Hall, but decided to wait on installation of safety glass at the customer windows.

The Board chose Dark Red as the color for the new roof on the pavilion at Liberty Memorial Park, and reviewed the possible purchase of playground equipment for the park. The Board is expecting to spend up to $25,000 in grant funds for the equipment
