There is no agreement between the Effingham Water Authority and Summit Township on the township maintaining Water Authority roads.

Water Authority Trustee Jim Boos reported at the Authority's monthly meeting that the agreement reviewed by the Water Authority in November has been changed by the township. The change stipulates that the Water Authority would give the township its newest vehicle, in addition to the monetary payments agreed to earlier.

Township representative Joe Workman was on hand, and there was discussion regarding the vehicle and also Motor Fuel Tax revenue, which the township can receive on the roads, but the Water Authority can't.

Water Authority trustees say losing the vehicle would be significant, so no agreement has been reached.
