Six New Cases of COVID in Effingham County

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 2,092 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois Saturday. There were 53 additional deaths statewide.

The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from February 6–12, 2021 is 2.9%

The Effingham County Health Department announced six new positive cases of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) from Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13. There was one case on Friday, and five cases on Saturday.

In the last seven days the Effingham County Health Department has distributed 600 first doses to thoseaged 65+ and 200 2nd doses to first responders. To date 5,000 doses of COVID vaccine have been distributed in Effingham County and over 1,000 people are fully vaccinated.
