No one, human or animal, was injured in a crash of an Illinois State Police K-9 vehicle in Watson.
The crash happened at 3:18pm Friday on Illinois Route 37 at 700th Avenue. State police report a passenger car failed to yield while pulling out of a private drive onto Route 37. The trooper attempted to avoid striking the vehicle by veering to the left, traveling through the northbound lane and into the front yard of a residence. The trooper's vehicle struck a utility pole and rolled over, coming to rest on its side against the front porch of the residence.
Neither the trooper nor the K-9 was injured in the incident.
