Marion County Crash Injures Vandalia Man

Friday night at 10:44 a car driven by Christopher Carrol, 28 of Vandalia, was traveling north on Route 51 near 2250 North in Marion County. Carrol ran off the right side of the road, striking a culvert and ditch embankment. The car rolled over, coming to rest on its top in the right ditch.
Carrol was flown to a regional hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No charges have been filed as of yet as the crash is still under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
