Edgewood Woman Injured in Marion County Crash

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies report at 4:38 Thursday afternoon 49-year-old Christy Hester of Edgewood was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 37 when she failed to stop for a vehicle waiting to make a left hand turn onto Townhouse Road. The vehicle she struck was driven by 42-year-old Kevin Rose of Salem.

Rose refused hospital treatment. Hester was taken by United Medical Response to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries. 

Hester was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
