27 New COVID Cases in Effingham County Thursday; Two Deaths

The Effingham County Health Department Thursday reported 27 new cases of coronavirus disease, including two COVID-related deaths. 

The deaths were of a woman in her 70s and a man in his 90s.

The demographic breakdown is as follows:

MALE--one in his teens, two in their 20s, three in their 30s, one in his 40s, one in his 50s, and three in their 60s

FEMALE--two less than 10 years old, five in their 20s, one in her 30s, two in their 40s, one in her 50s, three in their 60s, and two in their 70s.

Illinois Region 6 test positivity seven-day rolling average was 8.3% through January 11, and Effingham County came in at 15.4% for the same period.
