Crash w/Injuries in Effingham Friday Afternoon

A crash with injuries occurred in Effingham just after 3pm Friday.

Effingham city police reported the crash occurrred at Raney and Wernsing. A vehicle driven by 32-year-old Katherina Wells of Altamont turned into the path of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Denise Casper of Effingham.

Denise Casper and a passenger in her vehicle, 74-year-old Lyle Casper of Effingham, were both injured. Denise Casper refused treatment, but Lyle Casper was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment. 

Wells was cited for failure to yield.
