61 New Positive COVID Cases Reported in Effingham County Wednesday

The Effingham County Health Department reported 61 new positive test results for coronavirus disease Wednesday.

Here's the demographic breakdown:

MALES: one less than 10 years old, four in their teens, two in their 20s, six in their 30s, three in their 40s, four in their 50s, three in their 60s, one in his 80s, and one in his 90s.

FEMALES: three less than 10 years old, four in their teens, five in their 20s, six in their 30s, five in their 40s, four in their 50s, two in their 60s, three in their 70s, three in their 80s, and one in her 90s.

Illinois Region 6 test positivity seven-day rolling average was 9.4% through January 3, and Effingham County came in at 15.7% for the same period.

The Health Department asks you to stay home if you are sick or waiting on test results. They ask you to mask up properly, wash your hands regularly, maintain six-foot social distancing, and avoid large groups.
