Lake Land College trustees voted this week to pass the tax levy for the new fiscal year.

The levy is actually lower than last year since the district's equalized assessed valuation...the value of land in the district...increased from last year.

The Board accepted a grant award from Coles Community Health Department for the college's nursing program. The grant will help facilitate advanced hands-on learning that should better equip nurses head they move on from the college experience.

Board members modified an agreement with Hanson Professional Services. The agreement covers architectural and engineering services for design through construction of the renovation of Neal Hall. The Board also approved extension of memoranda of understanding with the Lake Land College Paraprofessional Association and the Lake Land College Association into the Spring 2021 term. The changes relate to how the college handles COVID-19.
