Area COVID Deaths Reported Tuesday by IDPH

COVID-related deaths were reported Tuesday in area counties, including Effingham County, by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Deaths in Effingham County reported Tuesday were those of a female in her 80s and a male in his 80s.

Other area deaths include a male in his 50s in Clay County, a female in her 80s in Coles County, a female in her 90s in Jasper County, two females in their 80s and two males in their 80s in Marion County, and a male in his 70s in Shelby County.

There were 145 COVID-related deaths reported statewide Tuesday, of 7,910 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease in Illinois.

As of Monday night, 5,199 in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 1,071 patients were in the ICU statewide and 626 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.
