State Tops 13,000 Covid-Related Deaths Since Beginning of Pandemic

An additional 208 COVID-related deaths were reported on Saturday in the State of Illinois. That brings the total number of deaths since the pandemic began to 13,179.

The deaths include a male and female in their 90s that were reported in Effingham County. Additionally, the deaths of a female and male both in their 70s in Fayette County, and a male in his 80s in Cumberland County were also reported, along with 3 deaths in Coles County. 

There were another 9,887 new cases reported across Illinois.  The Statewide positivity rate for the past seven days through December 4th is at 10.3-percent.
