Prison Sentence for Sigel Resident After Probation Revoked

A Sigel resident has been sentenced to prison after violating his probation on a burglary conviction.

31-year-old Jacob Shelton was placed on probation following his conviction for a 2016 burglary. Shelton was arrested for violating his probation in August 2019.

This month, Shelton was sentenced to three years in prison for the violation. He will spend two years on mandatory supervised release once out of prison. He was given credit for having served 61 days in custody while awaiting disposition of his case.
