Cowden-Herrick school board members passed the tax levy for the coming fiscal year at this month's meeting.

The Board also abated the taxes levied to pay debt service on general obligation school bonds. There was enough interest earned on the bonds to make the bond payment without the levy.

Board members voted to extend the contract of Superintendent Seth Schuler for three years, effective through June 30, 2024.

The Board approved a reduction in force for Tony Carlisle for the driving hours to Bridges Alternative Education program, and a discussion regarding high school girls basketball was tabled.
