Several area legislators are hitting the road this week. They say their goal is to rally voters and discuss the issues two weeks before Election Day.

The "Restore Illinois Statewide Bus Tour" will feature State Representatives Chris Miller of Oakland, Darren Bailey of Xenia, Blaine Wilhour of Beecher City, and Brad Halbrook of Shelbyville. The tour will head as far south as Metropolis and as far north as Rockford.

Bailey said, "If we as freedom-loving Americans are asleep at the wheel on Election Day, the country we know and love could soon be gone."

Wilhour said, "The Democrat majority is well-funded, and they are aggressively trying to add to their majority in the House and the Senate. We need to hold the line and not let them gain any more ground."

The final two stops will be this Saturday in Mattoon at Cross County Mall from 1 to 2pm, and in Effingham at Mid America Motorworks from 5 to 7pm.
