Effingham County Clerk Kerry Hirtzel Tuesday alerted county voters that they will be receiving another letter from Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White's office about vote by mail.

Hirtzel said the letter is being sent on Thursday. The letter is required by State law. If you receive a letter, it will indicate that you haven't requested a vote by mail ballot and that you still have time.

Hirtzel reminds that even though you receive the letter, you don't have to vote by mail. You can still use Early Voting, and you can still vote in person on Election Day.

Hirtzel also apologized that he didn't send out a similar notice in advance of the same letter that was mailed out by the Secretary of State's office last month.
