Two Fatal COVID-Related Deaths in Coles County

Coles County Health Department reported two fatalities related to cases of COVID-19.

The two are both males in their 70s.

Coles County reported nine new positive cases of COVID-19 Monday.

Coles County's risk metrics have been moved into the Orange warning level. Orange indicates there are warning signs over increased COVID-19 risk in the county. The warning signs passed by Coles County during the week ending September 26 was the number of COVID cases per 100,000 (226 rather than less than 50) and the county's positivity rate (8.6%, rather than 8% or less).

Shelby County Health Department reported 12 county residents with positive cases of coronavirus disease Monday.
