COVID-19 Case Update for Effingham County

The Effingham County Health Department Wednesday reported 53 new positive cases of Coronavirus Disease for the timeframe of September 5-9. 

Of those 53 individuals, three have been hospitalized. The cases are fairly even between males and females. Only six cases involved those in their teens or younger.

The Health Department will be hosting an IDPH Mobile COVID Testing Unit on Sunday, September 20, from 9am to 5pm. The drive-thru clinic, to be held at the Health Department, is open to everyone, at no cost to the individual, with no appointment needed. Take along your insurance card, if you have one.
