Three Positive COVID-19 Cases in Unit 40 Buildings

Effingham Unit 40 school district Tuesday afternoon learned of three positive COVID-19 cases in district buildings.

Two of the cases were at South Side Elementary School and the third was at Effingham Junior High School.

Unit 40 Superintendent Mark Doan reported no other students or staff members have been identified by the Effingham County Health Department as close contacts. Doan said the District cleansed and sanitized the affected areas at both buildings. 

School is in session today.
