Dieterich village board members have been discussing electrical options for the Industrial Park East.

A consensus was reached that three-phase service will be made available throughout the park. The service will be looped, which should help in case of an outage. Village officials will return to Ameren Illinois to discuss the plan.

The Board discussed possible regulations on mobile food trucks that could visit the village. Nothing was finalized, but the vehicles are welcome there in the meantime.

Board members also discussed possible water detention areas that could be developed in the village in the event of heavy rains and flooding. The water would not be retained; the detention areas would only temporarily hold the water to slow the flow of water in an attempt to lessen flooding.
