The Effingham Public Library Board is looking to fill an upcoming vacancy.

Sarah Ruholl-Sehy is moving from Effingham to Teutopolis in September, so her seat on the board will need to be filled. Those interested in a seat on the library board should contact Librarian Amanda McKay.

In the meantime, Ruholl-Sehy's job as treasurer of the board has already been filled. Shelby Dasenbrock said she would take the position.

The Board also reviewed requirements to apply for a per capita grant from the State. Board members also reviewed the library's book selection policy, both in selecting books and in remove publications, a process known as "weeding". The review is part of an ongoing process of reviewing library board policies.
