Jury selection has been completed in the trial of Beecher City resident Aaron Kaiser.

The 37-year-old Kaiser is charged with two counts of concealment of homicidal death. The counts stem from the death of Kimberly Mattingly in April. It's alleged that Kaiser assisted in disposing of Mattingly's body after she was shot, allegedly by Christopher Glass of Mason. Mattingly's body was found on ground owned by Kaiser's family near Beecher City, where he lived.

Before jury selection began Monday, Judge Allan Lolie quashed a subpoena filed by State's Attorney Bryan Kibler for Glass to testify in Kaiser's trial. Judge Lolie noted a continuing objection lodged by Kibler against the ruling.

Concealment of homicidal death is a Class 3 felony, punishable by up to two to five years in prison.

Opening statements in Kaiser's trial should begin Tuesday morning.

Glass is to be tried for Mattingly's murder in September.
