Teutopolis Village Board members have scheduled the groundbreaking ceremony for a new village hall.

The ceremony will take place at 10am Wednesday, August 26, and will be held at the site of the new hall, which is also the location of the former village hall, which was demolished earlier this week.

The Village has been setting aside funds for the new hall for years to replace the former facility that was constructed in the 1880s. It's hoped the new building will be completed in March or April of 2021. The Board also approved change orders on the project.

Board members Wednesday also voted to buy back a lot in Prairie View Subdivision from Nick Martin, and tabbed Heartland Landscaping to refurbish the four welcome signs leading into the village.
