State Unemployment Rate Fell to 15.2% in May

The state unemployment rate fell in May.

The rate is 2% lower than April and is currently at 15.2%.  State Department of Employment Security spokesperson Sam Salustro says more than 62,000 jobs were added in May.

“We saw strong job growth in the leisure and hospitality area, manufacturing and construction were the three big areas we saw the most job growth last month.”

May’s national unemployment rate was 13.3%
