Lake Land Board Acts on Pay Rates

Lake Land College trustees acted this week on pay rates for the coming fiscal year.

Trustees approved base salary adjustments of 1.8% plus $500 for administrative, supervisory and support staff members. The action excludes correctional center employees. The increase is comparable to increases for the college's bargaining groups.

The Board also approved a 10-cent per hour increase for part-time staff members, and approved a 1.75% increase in base salary for new hires.

Lake Land trustees approved lease renewal agreements with the Pana School District for the Western Region Center and with the Local Workforce Innovation Area 23 for the facility at 305 Richmond Avenue East.

The Board discussed changes to the policy governing special admission and graduation requirements for select technical programs. The proposed changes would remove Cosmetology from the select programs and would add Fire Science Management to the program list.
