IDPH Monday Says 2,294 New Positive Cases of Coronavirus Disease in Illinois

The Illinois Department of Public Health Monday announced 2,294 new positive cases of coronavirus disease in the state.

The report includes 59 additional deaths, including one in Coles County we had reported earlier. 50 of the deaths were from Cook County.

To date, IDPH is reporting 96,485 positive cases of COVID-19, including 4,234 deaths in Illinois. The statewide seven-day rolling positivity rate is 14%.

There were 21,297 specimens taken in Illinois laboratories during the 24-hour period ending at 2pm Monday.
