The Shelby County Health Department Friday announced the 12th Shelby County resident to test positive for coronavirus disease.

The patient is an 80-year-old female and a resident of Shelbyville Manor. She was tested May 6 when her symptoms began and was then placed in isolation. As a precaution, the Health Department has ordered that all staff and residents of the facility be tested as soon as possible.

Of the 11 other positive cases in Shelby County, one is deceased, nine have been released from isolation, and one is isolated at their residence.
