Another Day, Another Attempted Scam

We've learned of another attempted scam, again via a phone call.

A listener said she rescued an elderly man who had been phoned and told to go to his bank. He was then told to send a cashier's check for a certain amount and he would get $2 million.

Of course, he wouldn't and, thankfully, the listener intervened in time.

The time-honored guideline here is, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. Just hang up on such callers.
