Autopsy Confirms Mattingly's Death Due to Gunshot Wounds

An autopsy conducted Friday morning confirmed that Kimberly Mattingly's death was due to gunshot wounds.

Effingham County Coroner Kim Rhodes said preliminary investigation revealed that Mattingly died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. Toxicology reports are pending.

Mattingly was last heard from April 5. Her family reported her missing on April 8.

Christopher Glass of Mason has been charged with murder in Mattingly's death, while Kaiser and Glass have each been charged with concealing a homicidal death. Both are next due in court on Tuesday.
