The state reported 1,222 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday. The number of new infections has held close to what's been reported each day over the past eight days.

Governor J.B. Pritzker said that's a good sign.

The State also shared hospitalization data and it shows that fewer hospital bed are in use now as compared to April 6, and more ICU beds are now available.
