Altamont school board members acted on a series of personnel moves at this month's meeting.

The Board employed Jordan Lucas, Marissa McDowell and Kasey Sanders as teachers at Altamont Grade School; accepted the resignation of Grant Beals as junior high baseball coach and approved Kyle Bourgeois to take the position; approved the resignation of Allison Pemberton from her extra-curricular position; approved the reductions in force of Robin Belcher, Tammy Kearney, Pat McWhorter, DeeAdria Robeson and Eileen Stuckemeyer; and approved the non-renewal of Lauren Withiem as a teacher.

Altamont board members congratulated FFA members who advanced to State for proficiencies: Paula Holland in Nursery Operations, Emma Kuhns in Swine Production Placement, Mason Cielak in Dairy Production, Ada Tappendorf in Vegetable Production, and Braden Grunloh in Poultry Production. Cielak and Tappendorf each finished second while Grunloh finished third.

The Board authorized Superintendent Steve Mayerhofer to seek bids for bread and milk, approved the Southeast Purchasing Co-op agreement, and renewed membership in the IHSA and IESA.
