Lake Land College Quiz Bowl Team Finishes 4th in Nation

Congratulations to the Quiz Bowl team from Lake Land College on its trip to the Nationals in Orlando, Florida this past weekend.

The team finished 4th out of 24 teams. Logan Mathis finished second in tossup questions out of 96 participants.

Finishing 4th qualifies the team for Division II in Chicago on April 4th, playing teams like Harvard and Yale.

Spokesman Kevin Mathis said the best part of the trip was when the team landed in St.Louis Sunday. Mathis had the flight attendant announce to everybody on the plane of their 4th place finish and the whole plane cheered, embarrassing the team members.

Team members are: from Stew-Stras--Logan Mathis, Tanner Clark and Katrina Davis, and from Windsor--Maranda Tarvin.
