Beecher City Board Hires Next GS Principal

Beecher City school board members Monday hired their next grade school principal.

Karen Hanfland has been a teacher in the Beecher City district for the past 23 years. Hanfland is currently a Special Education and English teacher at Beecher City Junior/Senior High School. 

Hanfland will take over as grade school principal next school year, succeeding Rosa Milleville, who is retiring at the end of the current school year.

Also Monday, the Beecher City board hired Vanessa Doedtman as a pre-kindergarten aide, and approved a Next Era Energy agreement. The Board also approved the district safety plan, protocols, procedures and school safety drill annual review.

Also approved was an agreement with Regional Office of Education #3, Alternative High School, and the Regional Safe School Program.
