Area residents are in Washington, DC, participating today in the 2020 March for Life.

The event is held annually in support of life issues and to protest the Roe vs. Wade decision in 1973 that legalized abortion in the nation. Wednesday was the 47th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision.

We told you earlier this week that students from St. Anthony High School are among those participating in the March. Here's a photo of some of the group with the Washington Monument in the background.

The full group of St. Anthony students and chaperones gathered on the steps of the Capitol:

St. Rose of Lima Church in Montrose also took a group to the March and posed with Bishop Thomas John Paprocki:

The Bishop also posed with a group from St. Mary's Church in Shumway:

We have learned that about a dozen members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altamont are also in the nation's capital for today's March.
