Shayna Phillips Finishes Second Runner-Up at State Queen Pageant

(EFFINGHAM COUNTY FAIR QUEEN SHAYNA PHILLIPS FINISHED SECOND RUNNER-UP AT THE STATE FAIR QUEEN PAGEANT)

Congratulations to Effingham County Fair Queen Shayna Phillips, who finished second runner-up Sunday night at the Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant.

The queen pageant is part of the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs State Convention in Springfield. Shayna is the daughter of Glen and Jeni Phillips.

Miss White County, Kelsi Kessler, was crowned Illinois County Fair Queen and will reign over this year's Illinois State Fair and DuQuoin State Fair.

Other top finishers included first runner-up Miss Macoupin County Maya Marcacci, third runner-up Miss Lake County Samantha Pokorny, and fourth runner-up Miss Marion County Grace Beavin.

Miss Shelby County Adilyn McCray finished in the Top 15 in the competition.

In the talent competition, Anna Parmenter of Iroquois County won the senior division competition with a piano solo, while Cristian Gibbs of Lake County won the junior division with a vocal solo. Effingham County junior division winner Lanie Tedrick and senior division winner Sidney Webster did not place at State.
