State Making Park Grants Available

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is accepting applications through January 21 for the state's Park and Recreational Facility Construction Grant Program. The program will provide grants to eligible local governments for acquisition, development, construction, rehabilitation or other capital improvements to park and recreation facilities in the state.

A total of $25 million is expected to be available. The maximum grant award will be $2.5 million.
