One Person Injured When Two Semis Collide at Vandalia

One driver was injured when two semis collided on I-70 Eastbound at Vandalia.

The rear-end crash occurred at 9:45 Wednesday night. State police report a rig driven by 48-year-old Jose Rodea of McAllen, Texas slowed to exit the interstate at Vandalia and was rear-ended by a semi driven by 37-year-old Antonio Mason of St. Louis.

Rodea was injured and was transported by ambulance to Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.

Mason was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
