Effingham City Police arrested 20-year-old Austin M. Phelps of Montrose Friday on a Home Invasion charge. City police confirmed that Phelps was arrested in connection with the incident that occurred early Tuesday morning at an apartment in the 1200 block of North Merchant Street. Three people were arrested Wednesday; Zion Mace, Caillou Repp and Noah Rebollo, all of Effingham.

Officers arriving at the incident scene discovered that multiple unknown subjects had just forced their way into an apartment, stole items, threatened residents at the apartment, damaged a vehicle, and then left the scene.

Mace, Repp and Rebollo are due in court Tuesday for their first appearance with counsel. Bond for each was set at $50,000.
