Some Effingham Water Customers Receiving Bills Late

Some customers of the Effingham Water Department are receiving this month's bills late.

The Water Department sent the bills out on September 30, but the billing was lost in the Post Office Hub. The bills have since been located and should be arriving today or tomorrow.

This only affects those customers with an Effingham, Illinois mailing address; anyone else did receive their bills as usual.

Due to the delay, the Water Department said there will not be penalties applied to any accounts for this month's billing.
