City and Mall Court Hearing Delayed

The hearing in the suit involving the City of Effingham and Village Square Mall has been continued until later this month.

The proceeding had been set for today, but City Attorney Tracy Willenborg Wednesday was granted a request for a delay until October 23.

Willenborg had indicated at a hearing on September 27 that there is a prospective purchaser of the mall that could change the nature of the proceedings involving the City and the mall.
