Informational Meeting Tonight on State Income Tax Amendment

An informational meeting is set for tonight on the Illinois income tax amendment that will be on the November 2020 election ballot.

The event is being hosted by the Effingham County Democratic Central Committee.

The presenter, Jim Dixon of the Responsible Budget Coalition, will deliver a 20-minute PowerPoint presentation on how the proposed tax changes would affect the state and citizens in rural Illinois. The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer discussion on the proposal.

The presentation is set for 7pm in the basement meeting room at the Effingham Public Library.
