The latest Impact 2030 Lunch and Learn featured representatives from five local organizations designed to help others.

Impact 2030 is the outgrowth of Vision 2020, which has generated much growth in Effingham County. As 2020 draws near, though, the decision was made to choose another name in hopes of keeping the ball rolling.

One of the impact area teams, a spoke of the wheel of Impact 2030, is Creative Learning Culture. The team hosted a Lunch and Learn to bring together those in the county who provide lifelong learning experiences to others, who cultivate creativity, inspire innovation and are passionate about personal growth, to share their organization's mission.

Those featured were Cindy Hardiek with Senior Services of Effingham County Committee on Aging, Jenna Hays with Recovery Oriented Systems of Care, Joanna Davies with Effingham Recycles, Jesse Pattenaude with CASA of Effingham County, and Melissa Willenborg with 100+ Women Who Care of Effingham County.

The next Lunch and Learn is scheduled for Thursday, January 16 from noon to 1:30pm at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library. Registration is required, but the event is free. You can register on the library's website at engagedpatrons.org/Events.

Creative Learning Culture Team members are Johnna Schultz with the Effingham Public Library, Chelle Beck with Effingham Unit 40 Schools, Joanna Davies with Fresh Digs, Lisa Teichmiller with SYMBIS Love Story, Kim Jansen with Effingham Performance Center, Stacey Zerrusen with Effingham Art Guild and Dieterich Schools, Stacey Rhodes with Tri-Music, Samantha Weidner with Effingham County Connections, and Karen Langham with CEFS.
