United Way Witches Ball This Week

The United Way of Effingham County Witches Ball will take place Friday night.

The event is designed as an opportunity to help United Way raise funds for the 22 local partner-agencies that help those in need in Effingham County.

The event will be held at Thelma Keller Convention Center. Halloween costumes are encouraged, but not required. There will be a costume contest for "Best Individual" and "Best Group". Other attractions will be hors d'oeuvres, dinner, dancing and silent and live auctions. Trent Schmid of Schmid Auctions will conduct the live auction.

Tickets are $60 per person.
