A hearing has been scheduled for September 14 on a decision on evidentiary matters in the attempted murder case of Gregory Hill in Fayette County.

The 50-year-old Hill is also charged with aggravated domestic battery. Hill is accused of injuring his wife in August 2017 when he allegedly threw her to the floor, causing a spinal injury that resulted in paralysis.

During a pretrial hearing Wednesday, Judge Kevin Parker indicated he would rule on the evidentiary matters in time for the hearing on the 14th.

Hill is slated to go on trial September 23. He is being held in Fayette County Jail in Vandalia on $750,000 bond.
