Brownstown School Board Meets for August Session

Brownstown school board members moved forward with budget plans at this week's meeting.

A public hearing on the tentative measure for the new fiscal year is set for 7:05pm Monday, September 16, just ahead of the regular monthly board meeting. The tentative budget is on display in the District Office.

The Board approved the resignation of Whitney Roberts as Title I Aide, Kevin Maxey as junior high boys baseball volunteer coach, the re-establishment of 5th and 6th grade basketball as a district-sponsored sport, and seeking estimates to replace the outfield fence at the high school baseball field.

The Board hired Stefanie Montgomery as a Title I Aide, approved Justin Atwood as junior high baseball assistant coach, and hired Tim Pasley as junior high girls basketball head coach.
