Teutopolis village board members have agreed to seek around $750,000 for the second phase of Prairieview Subdivision.

The second phase would create another 30 lots for residential development, about the same size as Phase One. Phase Two would be next door to Phase One in the southeast part of the village. The general obligation borrowing could total up to $1 million, but the Board is hopeful they'll be closer to the $750,000 amount.

Phase Two would extend to the township road.

The Board also voted to ban the sale of recreational cannabis in the village. The measure does not involve medicinal cannabis.

Board members also heard from Eric Pals of Tick Tock Energy about placement of solar panels within the village. Some members are concerned about the proximity of the panels to neighboring properties and whether the panels should be regulated.

The Board also discussed tax levy amounts for the coming fiscal year. A vote on the levy should come at the Board's meeting in two weeks.
